Fair Trade boxed Mala (Mallah) Beads.
A string of 108 Mala (or Mallah) beads carved from Rosewood. Mala beads are used in Buddhism to 'count' whilst reciting mantras. The most prolific mantra is the well known 'Om mani padme hum' which translates as 'Hail Jewel in the Lotus'. Many Mala bead sets consist of more than 108 beads - this allows for 'missed beads' whilst counting! Supplied boxed.
